Being at student is great, but can also be a bit daunting - often both at the same time! The team here at St Mike’s is here to welcome you, plug you in to a local church – a stone’s throw from Frenchay campus, and help you make the most of life at uni.
We have 3 services each Sunday. The 9am is more traditional. The 10.30am is family-oriented. The 6.30pm is more informal.
We encourage students to come to the 6.30pm as it is probably the service that will appeal to most, but also our student activities are based round this service.
On the first Sunday of the month in term-time, as part of the student group, we host a meal for students in someone's home. This term the dates are January 8th, February 5th, March 4th, April 1st.
Our vision is to equip students to become radical full-life disciples of Jesus, living transformed lives for him in the student world.
One Way, the St Mike’s group for students, meets after every evening service in term time in the coffee shop. An average evening will have:
So, come along, and prepare to be challenged and changed as we seek to follow Jesus together.
It is easy to walk to St Mike's from Frenchay campus, but we can offer lifts from Glenside. Let us know if you need a lift.
The programme for January-April 2012 is below
There are many opportunities to get stuck in to different aspects of St Mike’s if that’s what you would like to do. Some examples are youth work, children’s work, playing in one of the worship bands, helping out at the coffee shop, or joining one of our Life Groups.
Any questions, then just shout. We look forward to meeting you soon.
